When the church was established in June 2000, it was Pastors Lewis and Ramona Brown’s desire to establish a structured training program for those who would be appointed to positions of ministry and leadership in support of the vision. As growth of the church expanded the School of Ministry started with about 20 students in the spring of 2001 offering training to the student body in each of their respective areas of ministry i.e. Deacons, Deaconess, Ministers, and Elders.
Courses were offered in discipleship, Old Testament and New Testament survey, the major doctrines of the Bible and others. The School of Ministry proved to be an amazingly effective tool in building and equipping the current ministry team that served the Pastors and the vision of New Beginnings Cathedral of Worship.
Dr. Lewis F. Brown Sr. (Th.D.) the visionary strongly believes that God has invested special gifting with an accompanying ministry inside every believer. The discovery of your unique gifts, commitment to the call and proper training for service is key to fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives. As the vision of the house continued to manifest and expand across the world, The Cathedral Theological School of Ministry is dedicated to equipping the body to fulfill the great commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, disciplining the nations in preparation for the glorious return of Christ.
The Cathedral Theological School of Ministry has a partnership with the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology. MGST is accredited with the Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges and Theological Seminaries. The ACISCTS is an international accrediting commission which holds as its primary objective is for the encouragement and maintenance of sound scholarship and the highest academic achievement in the areas of private education from the lowest to the highest. Quality education is the goal at all times. This is an international accreditation society for preparation of quality education in private schools, colleges, and theological seminaries.
CTSOM has been a Satellite School from 2001, with MGST to continue the missions and purpose of equipping the Body of Christ for the work of ministry. As a Satellite School we fill the Administrative and Teaching part of the equipping for ministry for those who come through CTSOM. We are excited about our partnership and want you to have confidence in how we conduct the services to assist you in fulfilling your training with CTSOM and MGST.
Prayer is the foundation for every ministry that New Beginnings has started. The PUSH Network ministry which started around September 1998, with 5 members, is the foundation that keeps New Beginnings a loving community; we can acknowledge and love God and we can love and live out His Word. We started with fervency and excitement, as we began to build a powerful prayer ministry that would see our prayers manifested and God’s name be exalted and glorified. This prayer ministry is a covering for all ministry at New Beginnings. As we now continue to recommit, rededicate, and upgrade the vision we are so excited to see how God has given us fresh ideas; new vision; meaningful purpose to fulfill everything that He gives us to build Kingdom believers in the earth.
