Prophetic Ministry Training I

In the body of Christ there are those who do not know the Voice of the Lord. We want to begin by sharing some principles and keys on how to successfully hear the Voice of the Lord. In I Thessalonians 5:23 (Amp) “May the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through… that is, separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly (completely) consecrated to God and may your, spirit, soul and body be preserved sound and completely found blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah.” It is especially important in this discussion that we see ourselves as three parts being we must practice these principles in our lives to have a clearer understanding of hearing God’s voice.
The Prophetic Ministry is much larger than being predictive. We need spiritual interpretation – What is it? It is the interpretation of everything from a spiritual standpoint, bringing the spiritual implications of things, past, present, and future before the people of God and giving them the significance of things in their spiritual value and meaning.
Three distinct Levels of the Prophetic
1) The Spirit of Prophecy – this is when a prophetic anointing is released upon an individual and anyone under the influence of that anointing can prophesy. This happens only when the Holy Spirit wills it and the spirit of prophecy is activated. Num. 11:24-27 God put the spirit that was on the Prophet onto seventy elders and they prophesied.
2) Gift of Prophecy – is when God places the gift of prophecy within you to prophesy, but your function is limited to exhortation, edification, and comfort. 1 Cor. 14:31
3) Office of the Prophet – is when God ordains you and sets you in the office of the prophet, and your operation of the prophetic gift is for a specific time, people, place, and message, bringing edification, exhortation, comfort, confrontation, and the revealed truth.
Prophetic Ministry – is the description, leadership style, method, and motivations of the prophetic according to the Word of God. Prophetic Ministry must be clearly defined by the principles, patterns, and purposes of God’s Word. God uses prophecy as one of the languages to communicate his purpose plans and ways to men. Prophecy is to declare the mind, heart, and purpose of God under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Prophecy is revealed truth. In Rev. 19: 9-10 (Then the angel said to me, write; blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb! And he added, these are the true words of God. At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy)
• For every demonic presence there must be a prophetic response.
• God used prophesy throughout the OT to forth tell of Jesus and to change the atmosphere and climates, while breaking strongholds and changing behaviors.A prophetic response is a response prophetically to what God says.
