WORD for the Week

"Meditate on God's Word"

Psalm 119:11  “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

This Week’s Word is Meditate on God’s Word!

Meditate on some portion of your Bible every day.  When I hear and meditate on God’s Word, I will do His Word.

Leadership has very

Little to do with

What you do and is

Fundamentally a

Matter of becoming who you are.

Illuminating the Light in the Midst of Darkness

The number 22, which is double eleven (which symbolizes disorder and chaos), can mean a concentration of disorganization. In the bible Jeroboam I, was the very first king of Israel after the united kingdom split in two in 930 B.C., he reigned for 22 official years.  King Ahab, was consider one of the worst Israelite kings in the bible, he also reigned for the same length of time (22 years) as the previous king. King Amon, who ruled for only two years and is consider one of the worst kings over Judah, began his rule at the age of twenty-two.  In The Hebrew alphabet it is made up of 22 letters, which are used to compose the Word of God. The Word of God is called a lamp (Psalms 119:105, Proverbs 6:22), thus it is the light by which we are to live. The word light is found 264 times in Scripture. When 264 is divided by 12 (divine authority) we have twenty-two, which represents light.

Appearances of the number twenty-two

God created twenty-two things in the six days of creation. There are twenty-two books in the Aaronic (Leviticus) Old Testament law, which is the light of God for Israel. There are twenty-two generations from Adam to Jacob. When Moses raised up the tabernacle of God there were exactly 22,000 Levites consecrated to serve.

Light is used twenty-two times in the Gospel of John. The 22nd time John uses the word, he quotes Jesus: "I have come as a light into the world . . ." (John 12:46). Christians are to walk in the light of Christ (John 3:21), and be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14 - 15).

The 22nd book written and included in the New Testament, in chronological order, is the book of 3 John. John wrote this book to his friend and fellow elder Gaius.  Jair, one of the Judges of Israel, who served for 22 years. Jesus is recorded to have quoted from twenty-two Old Testament books.

How is the number 22 related to Jesus' death?

Around 3pm on Passover, just before dying for the sins of all mankind, Christ quoted from the first verse of Psalm 22 written by King David. The part of the Psalm he quoted, using likely a mix of the Hebrew and Syriac languages, was "Eloi, Eloi, (or Eli, Eli as found in Matthew 27:46) lama sabachthani?" (Mark 15:34). Those near the cross who heard Jesus cry out mistakenly thought he was asking Elijah for help (verses 35 - 36). The first two verses of Psalm 22 are the following.  My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, and why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the night season, and I find no rest (Psalm 22:1 - 2).  Revelation 22 is the twenty-second (and the last) chapter of the Book of Revelation or the Apocalypse of John, and the closing chapter of the New Testament and of the Christian Bible.

As you go forth in this new year make sure that you understand that the brilliance of God comes out of your life as you declare His word from your mouth.  Let your words speak light in circumstances and situations where darkness and void has come.  Remember that you are connected to a power source that can change specific things that need the power of light and the power of the Holy Spirit to manifest in your day.

Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light.  My daily confessions for 2022 is “God’s Light illuminates my mind and I know where I'm going.”

PRAYER OF INTERCESSION FOR THE NATION

Father, in this new year on behalf of our nation, we pray as the Body of Christ that you would forgive our sins, we repent and turn from the unbelief in Your Word and Your Promises; we repent and turn from the division and discord in our relationships.  We pray for not living lives in love for all men you have created, and for not reaching out to those people You have placed in front of us to minister too daily. We repent and turn from making idols out of our families, our giftings  and ministries, jobs, our government, and leadership, and even the love for money. We confess that we have offended You disgracefully with our idolatry and ungodliness. We repent and turn from living lives in the flesh and not walking in the spirit. We repent and turn from taking credit for the miraculous works of Your Hands. We repent for not allowing our churches to be “Houses Prayer for all Nations” (Matt. 21:12 – 14) but we have made them dens of robbery and manipulation. We have become a pleasure-seeking, aggressive, anger, and greedy people. Our foolishness has led us to the brink of destruction. O God forgive us and deliver us! We pray earnestly, desperately, and expectantly pray for a massive spiritual awakening and transformation in the Body of Christ.  Help us to walk in discernment and not out of ignorance tempting You when we align ourselves with deceptive ideas.

Father God, we repent from not being the light shining in the darkness, and for not going into the highways and hedges compelling (Luke 14:23) men and women to come into Your Kingdom! Forgive our Sins! Cleanse our hearts, Lord! Heal our land, Lord! Deliver us, Lord! Let us be reminded that You Love the World; that You sent Jesus for everyone! We confess and take responsibility for our errors of not making You first in every aspect of our lives. Give us a clear understanding of how to represent Your Kingdom in the earth as the Body of Christ.

Father, bless and move upon the leaders of our nation. Convict them and Stir their hearts to change let them be transformed in their minds and help them to be honorable and wise. Pull down from power those with inflexible hearts who set their faces against You. Replace them with those who will be good examples as leaders, those who have integral  characteristics, those who will protect the innocent, those people who are lost, poor, and sick in our nation. Give these new leaders wisdom, courage, and grace. Protect them and their families from every ungodly influence and attack. Bless and prosper them and bring their wise decisions, wise plans to completion.  Establish empathy, love, and truth in our educational systems and give us good teachers and educators who will be positive role models for our children. Remove those who bring immortality heresy or occultism into their classrooms.  Give us integrity, fairness, and truth in our news media.  Root out those leaders in leadership who are greedy and have a love for money more than people.

Father, You have not given us a spirit of fear; so, we put aside fear, worry, and being anxious about the future. We choose to believe Your Word and we will find our joy, peace, wisdom, and instruction in You, not just men. Our hearts are filled with praise and thanksgiving for all that You have done for us. We stand patiently during this time, and we will not give up, cave in, or quit when faced with any adversity. The joy of the Lord will be our strength. Father God, You are our Fortress (Psalms 18:2) in the time of trouble; we have complete confidence in You and Your Word! Our words will be full of life, not death, destruction, or discouragement. We will be mindful to speak words that encourage, uplift, and inspire others.  Bring righteous judgment in our courts systems, with equal justice for everyone in our society. Particularly in our Prison Systems, Police departments and Court systems, bring Your influence to bear. Bring revelation, wisdom, and courage to make godly and righteous decisions in ever questionable issue with those who are innocent and have been treated unfairly. Give us righteous attorneys who desire justice and truth more than personal gain. Heal those with mental illness, the homeless, the poor, and those with no hope in our government system.

Heal our homes and cement our family relationships. Fill our homes with divine healing, wisdom, protection, love, and compassion.  Restore our communities and inner cities to places of safety. Send the Holy Spirit, through the church, to save the lost, help the poor, heal the sick, deliver the addicted, bind up the broken, and give hope to those in despair.  Heal those hearts who are hurt because they are victims of abuse, injustice, and violence.  Deliver the children who are subjected to abandonment, abuse, and fear and who are led into sin by those who should be their defenders. Protect them with your angels, Father, and heal their wounded hearts. Help us, with wisdom, power, and love, to take back the liberties the church has lost to those who neither know nor respect You.  Protect and encourage the Christian Leaders of our nation, those who face threats and persecution as they confront the viciousness of entrenched depravity in their given arenas of influence.  Heal the soul of our nation. May we see the Glory of God fill our churches, homes, and neighborhoods. In the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
